Description

apart from the marketing-task I created this one for merchandise ideas.

once again we want to use the creative force of WAM to collect the coolest ideas for merchandise products.

can you imagine to own a Snowblind T-Shirt? what should it look like? do you have other crazy ideas like coffee cups or fridge pins, stickers or snowblind socks ? ;-)

as always you can use the pictures and artworks here on WAM or from the facebook site:
http://de-de.facebook.com/pages/Snowblind/132781985086

we are anxious to hear what you see in your wildest snowblind dreams.

wreck on!

cheers, bastian

A calendar!

Simple and easy to make (not to mention cheap to mass-produce)

You could have both/either a tabletop and a hanging version, and it would clearly make use of the best photos of your actors (or even the posters which I believe were already designed by Jani?).

And maybe you could even have a special, limited-print "Snowblind Ladies" edition for those who only want to have pretty girls on their walls. 8P

count me in! I want to have my snowblind calendar!

Hannu Hoffrén November 04, 2010 09:19 Flag

I'd buy one for sure!

I wonder which one could be the best service for Snowblind as I think manufacturing & ordering a high amount for selling & sending them later feels like a too much of a hassle. It should be something similar like in Deviantart where anyone can make the order and the service then handles the whole manufacturing & sending.

See the "Buy This Print" button on the right:

A branded weather thermometer?

This one came to mind just as I went to close a window for the night and noticed the old branded thermometer (basically a plastic disc with a print on it on which a red spirit thermometer was glued to) my grandfather got mass-produced several decades ago as promotional item for his flowers shop(!!!) which has been hanging forever outside the house.

Not quite sure these things are even produced any more, but it still seemed relevant enough to mention. ^^'

Snowblind T-Shirt Design

Here's my idea for a Snowblind shirt... I would've commented in Peter's shot but... you can't post images in comments!!! (winks at WAM-staff)

Sure, the Spaghetti Western cinemascopic eye letterbox is always a welcome sight - might just slap that in there =)

Still for now I had more practical reasons in mind - we have a plotter that cuts iron-on foils so we can actually make really good tee prints, even of the flocked sort which always looks awesome... and even a bit like snow :D

The problem with this is, you still have to manually pull off all the foil which is not supposed to be printed, which is helluva lot of work even for typo - so doing that for a picture would be a real pain :/

(null) May 31, 2010 01:03 Flag

Ah, you need something like the eyes though! :D

Kalle Max Hofmann May 30, 2010 23:46 Flag

No, actually I thought of leaving it very plain... So you can even wear it on days you're NOT attending some fan convention ;P

To be honest, I was inspired a *little* by this nice exhibit from my private collection:
http://img.allposters.com/6/LRG/26/2649/Q1NMD00Z.jpg

hehhe ;P

(null) May 30, 2010 22:31 Flag

Hmm... would that be decorated? And would it have an image with it?

Belt Buckle

Pewter belt buckles cast to look like the hero's gun, with 'SNOWBLiND' etched into the barrel.

Does no one play with waterguns anymore?

Guns. Water guns. Laser guns, the kind that go "Pew! Pew!" Pop cap guns, the kind that go "Pow! Bang!" and leave the smell of smoke. Nerf shooters. The kind that shoot little plastic suction darts. Plastics. Easily produced in China to spec and shipped direct from a Tianjin warehouse to online consumer. I loves my guns...

actually, i was totally thinking of a gun lighter... one year, my sister got me a really cool vintage gun lighter from the gun show... every time i took it out to light a cigarette, everyone commented on how cool it was...

if you could do a line of guns used in the movie with the snowblind logo on the bottom of the grip, that would be really cool... they would be refillable so you could charge about $20 for one

Kalle Max Hofmann May 21, 2010 00:58 Flag

Totally, gotta stick with the Corporate Design for sure :D

BTW an ICE gun would be an awesome invention... gotta have that in Snowblind 2! A gun that accelerates ice shards taken from the ground to supersonic speed... with practically endless ammunition, provided you're standing on a glacier! Siistiä!!

(null) May 21, 2010 00:48 Flag

If you did have waterpistols maybe they should be transparent or translucent light blue, like the poster? To suggest ice?

Kalle Max Hofmann May 21, 2010 00:37 Flag

Actually, our leading man Erik Hansen already did an attempt of creating a custom Snowblind water gun... maybe we should get back to that :D

As a teen I really loved Super Soakers, but a couple days ago I saw the current designs at Toys'r'us... liked the old ones much better : /

Snowblind t-shirts

If nothing else, I think we really need to have Snowblind t-shirts. Maybe there should be a separate task for t-shirts, would be great to be able to sell some at the premiere, don't you think?

Angela R. May 24, 2010 13:39 Flag

I must agree with Kris. Sure, it would be great having another task for T-shirts design, but the poster art on shirt on its own would already make it an absolutely awesome article of clothing.

(null) May 23, 2010 19:43 Flag

The poster (or elements from it) would look great on a black T-shirt. :)

The store is there, need more products

Now that Snowblind got the honor of being the first Wreckamovie production ever to have a WAM Store:

http://www.wreckamovie.com/productions/wreckamovieplatform/news/611

it would be great to get more products into that store. Get your creative juices flowing and come up with some cool products to sell;-)

The idea with the store is to make it really easy for productions here to sell stuff. One less thing to worry about when making a great movie.

Seppo Hiltunen May 15, 2010 04:53 Flag

I really like the idea of a store for movie related products here in WAM. Expecting one day (soon hopefully) to buy me Snowblind DVD using that WAM store -method. (By the way, have you any plans for subtitling it to different languages or do you keep it english only or are you dubbing it?)

Rags torn out from green screen, with the autographs of the director and/or actors...

Still have mine. ka-tshinggg

Kalle Max Hofmann March 07, 2010 20:43 Flag

Oh actually we really did that! We made a panorama picture of the crew in the studio, printed it out in extrawide format and stuck a piece of the green screen on it. This was given to all of the crew as a present. Guess these prints will be worth MILLIONS real soon ;P

(and if they do, we'll just make dozens of reprints hehhe)

Erm but thinking of this... the original image files were lost! So I guess these 30 or so prints really are QUITE unique ^_^

The way to a distributors heart is through his stomach.

Don't you laugh! I could imagine there are some VIPs that you definitely want to get hold on. You could need a special gift to melt the ice, a mouthwatering one. What about this:

What you get? A cake with your individual print on it! If i were Peter Jackson, i would call you after gettin' one of these ...

Hi Mathias, didn't anyone tell you about the VIP premiere we had on Saturday? With cake?!? I really wondered why you didn't show up there!

Mathias Jürgens March 07, 2010 17:15 Flag

I want a cake like this at the VIP preview.

Kalle Max Hofmann March 06, 2010 00:25 Flag

Crazy... all those kinds of business ideas people come up with these days :D
Definitely one to look out for! I could imagine the really big players are afraid of food poisoning and stuff like that though... or maybe they have tasters like ancient kings ;P

Mobile phone scene

perhaps needs alarm voices, ripped from the music/sound score of the film.

Music or phrases, oneliners etc.

And screenpictures to mobile phones.
